Time for a new sailboat so I am selling a few of my bikes. This is a beautiful dark blue 1997 F650ST with just over 4,000 original miles. It has OEM BMW side cases and is set up with the original height suspension links although I do have the lowering links for it as well. The original owner had the lower links on it and had the center stand shortened to accomodate the lower height. The bike has been stored for a few years...indoors and correctly with stabil in the tank and on a battery tender. It was started and run for a bit every month or so. The battery is one year old. Clearly, given the miles it is nearly as a new bike. The only negatives are a few typical boot scuffs on the side cases, a small rubbed area on the bottom edge of the seat (maybe an inch)that doesn't show when the seat is on and I believe it needs the carbs adjusted. When I started it up today and took it around a few blocks it stumbled on acceleration unless the choke was partly engaged...even though it was pretty well warmed up. I also have the original sales brochure, owners manuals, consumer review article and other booklets that came with the bike when new...clear Illinois title. Feel free to call with any questions. Single cylinder, Rotax engine made in Austria, a bulletproof design that goes forever. The bike does the twisties, and is also excellent off-road. Cruise all day fully loaded at 75mph and average 62-64 mpg. I didn't do much off-road on it, but many miles of sightseeing. ABS front/rear brakes. Always garaged.

Happy Trails panniers, pack a ton of stuff in them, no rattles, completely waterproof and lockable, quick easy on/off at the motel. Happy Trails rear tie-down rack. Wolfman Denali tank bag w' map window. Good in the rain and carries all the needed gear with no movement. Approximately 6K miles on Metzeler Tourance tires.
