Valves, rings, timing chain, steering head bearings and new cables done at 56,000 by Paul Swenson of Co Springs (machinist for BMW of Denver) I have the invoice. Presently 78,800 miles. Carbs rebuilt in 2000 and splines greased. Battery is one year old.

Selling because I recently bought an RT due to a neck injury making the RS uncomfortable to ride. Professional paint job. Very strong runner and faster than my RT with 28,000 on it. Always maintained to high standards. Some very light rust beginning on the lower frame.

I bought this bike in 2004 from another member here. I picked it up in Phoenix and rode it back to Chicago. The bike returned to AZ when I relocated to Scottsdale in 2005. I ride mostly big dual sport and dirt bikes so this bike was used mostly as my coffee shop bike and for short day rides with my wife.

I spent the last 2 years riding my KTM 950 in Latin America and the bike was stored at Moto Ghost in Phoenix under the supervision of Omar the shop’s owner. Omar reconditioned the heads and put on new pipes as I travelled. I am back in Phoenix to work and save for the next leg of my round the world trip and selling this bike will get me closer to that end.

I will include a magnetic tank bag and both Clymer and Haynes manuals for this bike. I have the service records from the previous owner as well as my records and I will include any spare parts or gear (for this bike) that I find in my storage before or after the sale.

• This bike is not a show room bike but is very clean and runs strong especially after the head work. There is a scratch on the front fender where the bike leaned on a cement column when I was parking it. As is common, the tach does not work but the speedo/odo is good. The big stuff is done, all it needs now is someone to ride it and finish up some of the minor stuff.
