1962 R69S

1962 R69S, the venerable and much sought after classic that runs great and has matching numbers. The bike has the smaller gas tank with the side tool box and it comes with a complete shop manual (reprint) from Bob’s BMW, owner’s manual, parts book, original dual seat (not installed) new Denfeld solo seat (installed), rear fender rack, tire pump, rear foot pegs (removed for installation of solo seat) and all items removed or replaced over the years I’ve owned it. The bike was purchased in 2012 and for 5 years I have been messing with it to get it running the way my old R1969S used to run. One thing led to another and I finally had Bob Clement of Bob’s BMW Motorwerks in Roberts, Montana work it over and make it right. So five years and many thousands of dollars in parts and labor later it is now ready for the road. New parts are: coil, advance unit, plug leads, new up-graded valves, seats, guides, springs, keepers, valve job, rings and hone (check with Bob on that). The transmission was completely disassembled and new elliptical adjustment things were installed as well as a new kickstart shaft. The neutral switch was repaired and works properly, all bulbs were replaced, and a special hard to find headlight bulb was installed. The carbs were cleaned and new jets installed with new float rods and all the gaskets. A new clutch push rod was installed as well as a new kick lever pin, and I’m sure a few more items I can’t remember. The speedometer was sent out and repaired as the odometer did not work. It now works properly and it is an R69S speedo as it has the proper blue “shift” marks on the speedo face. The bike runs great and I am riding it around to get some time / miles on the rings. It will start cold in one or two kicks if you get the carb “tickle” thing down properly, and it always starts in one kick when warm. Receipts I received with the bike indicate that it was rebuilt in the late ‘80s though the mileage at that time was not indicated. The front fender in the pictures is not original; I have an original front fender and am currently striping it and it will be installed on the bike when complete. I’m also replacing the rear brake pads and having a locksmith make a key for the toolbox and fork lock. The bike has a steering damper but a part at the bottom of the lower fork tree is missing. The handle bar risers and handle bars are not original but I believe they are “period correct” aftermarket items. Limited delivery may be possible depending on distance and agreed upon costs. Shipping by a freight company would be the responsibility of the buyer and no crating will be provided. Call Bob at Bob’s MotorWerks and reference me and he’ll tell you all that he did and what he thinks of the bike and its value. Currently asking $15,500.00. Call Jim at 307-645-3050 or e-mail for pictures more info.

/2 conversion/R 100 motor

Perfect for a sidecar rig. The engine runs great, but the sidecar was taken off. The sidecar had the battery. Comes with a six gallon BMW Sport tank. I have an excellent large dual seat, but most folks will want a solo seat. I would reduce the price if someone did not need the large gas tank. This was built to be a sidecar motorcycle. Call with questions, and shipping is easy. Comes with open title. E mail pics available.

1964 R60 with R50 motor

I have for sale a cool little vintage airhead with a clean, current title. No VIN verification needed! It's an R50/2 motor in an R60/2 frame. So it's non matching numbers. It is however all there and runs really well. You'll need to put new tires on it. There is a small hairline seam at the base of the tank that slowly "weeps" gas when the tank is completely full. Other than that it is a fun rider. The Hella bar end signals are not on the bike and do not come with the bike. Shoot me an email with any questions. https://denver.craigslist.org/mcy/6077282170.html
