Original BMW R65LS Unmolested only 28K miles!

Up for sale is an all original 1984 BMW R65LS Motorcycle that has been perfectly maintained and is unmolested! This bike is the LS model which is harder to find than the standard R65. It's an 80's cafe racer style bike. They made less than 6500 for the entire world. It is also known as the Star Wars Motorcycle. Here is why:

"In 1983, George Lucas released "Return of the Jedi," the third movie in his epic space fantasy, Star Wars. And no motorcyclist who's seen it can forget the mach-speed hover bike duel through the redwood landscape on the forest planet of Endor. That same year saw the release of the BMW R65LS -- a sleek, sporty version of the standard R65. With its out-of-this-world design, you have to wonder if LS designer Hans Muth and Lucas weren't drinking from the same punch bowl. With its sharp angles and sporting disposition, Muth's creation sparked a definitive "love it" or "hate it" reaction -- and it still does today. "

It has the following upgrades that came with the LS model:- Dual Brembo disc brakes- Upgraded Transmission- Rear seat fairing- Front Fairing- Cast-alloy mag-type wheels - Black powder-coated pipes

This is a great daily commuter, a fun canyon carver and a perfect beginner bike as well. Its very comfortable and easy to ride and great to handle in the turns with exceptional braking power. Riding around you will be hard pressed to see another LS. It turns heads where ever I ride. I am the second owner and love it. Here are some specs on the LS:

Years produced: 1983-1985Total production: 6,389Claimed power: 50hpTop speed: 108mphEngine type: Horizontally-opposed twinWeight (dry): 189kg (417lb)MPG: 45-60

The condition of the bike is great. I went through the entire mechanics of the bike and redid the brakes, put on new tires, and did a basic motor tuning. Cleaned the carbs, new plugs, added inline fuel filter and new wires etc... It does have a rear seal that still needs to be replaced. Cosmetically its about perfect. There is a small scratch on the front cowl (doesn't show in pics) and the seat needs to be recovered due to some stress marks in the material. This BMW looks amazing and is really fun and easy to ride. Asking $5500. Please call or text 3 two 3 85four 57 66 or email for more info. Thanks!
